A friend I saw at our 50th high school reunion told me she is a nihilist who tries to stay out of the way of everybody who is working pointlessly to make the world a better place. Our lives have taught us different truths.

Cynthia, a member of our Fellowship, is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister. Among her greatest pleasures are family and friends; reading, writing, and painting; and pondering.
