EARTH DAY OBSERVATION

OUR FEROCIOUS LOVE OF LIFE VS. CATASTROPHIC CLIMATE CHANGE

Humans, both as individuals and societies, have confronted towering crises before. What lessons and hope can we draw from those experiences? How do humans perceive that a crisis is at hand – and that an immediate change in course is wise?

Eric Hansen is an award-winning conservation essayist and public radio commentator, lifelong Unitarian, and frequent pulpit guest. He was honored with a first place award by the prestigious Wisconsin Broadcasters Association in 2010 for his essay “Climate Change and Common Sense”.

Following the service, the SRC will do its annual hosting of environmentally friendly, locally grown snacks.  Be ready to reflect upon your own stewardship of our Earth.
