Join the UU Book Club for a Mexican themed party on Monday, June 6 at 6:00 pm. The evening will begin with a pot luck followed by a movie about the difficult life, art and trials of Frida Kahlo, one of the most significant female artists of the first half of the 20th century.
Attendees are asked to bring a Mexican dish and/or wine. Frida was known for her colorful native dress, so it is suggested that women dress in colorful clothing, perhaps with long skirts and huge jewelry (heavy eyebrow are optional). Men can come costumed as Frida or wear jeans and a colorful shirt.
