UU PRINCIPLE #7: OUR WORLD OF WONDER
We humans live an interdependent life with numerous other organisms on a planet that is truly a world of wonder. Yet, many of us are seldom aware of the world beyond our immediate influence and even if we are aware, we may not understand how dependent we are on much of that world. Thus, our world of wonder is increasingly a world in peril.
Dick Smythe is an entomologist retired from the research division of the US Forest Service. Before kindergarten he started collecting feathers and insects. In college he majored in biology, then earned a PhD in entomology. Throughout his life-time, Dick has maintained an interest in the natural world.
