UU Fellowship Releases Book of Poems

Each year the UU Fellowship of Door County publishes a poetry chapbook with poems from the Dickinson Poetry Series during the previous year.  What Is Hidden, the poetry from the fourth year of the Series, will be released on Sunday, April 28, 2013, Poetry Sunday at the Fellowship.

What Is Hidden is the title of one of the poems in the book and suggests the provocative images, metaphors, perceptions and ideas contained within the poetry.  Poetry Sunday, celebrated each year in April in honor of National Poetry Month, has 11 poets reading their poems, focusing on the title “Earth Spirit Rising.” The service will be followed by a gala publication party heralding the release of the book.

Twenty-five poems in the book represent 16 poets/readers, nine of whom have been published in previous volumes of the Series. Copies of the book will be for sale at the party or $10. During the gala, featured poets will read their works and will autograph their pages in the book. The books will continue to be available throughout the year from the Fellowship and at select poetry events.
