UUFDCThere is an emerging public debate about the ways that our nation should address poverty.  Proposals to reduce poverty put forth across the political spectrum are rooted in very different understandings of “responsibility”. Is it an individual responsibility or a community responsibility? A societal responsibility or a healthy combination of all three?  Dr. Robert Kraig will lead the Fellowship in a discussion of the issues surrounding poverty.

Dr. Robert Kraig became Executive Director of Citizen Action of Wisconsin in 2009, after serving for nearly three years as Program Director. Over the past 12 years, Dr. Kraig has played a significant role in the Wisconsin public policy arena. He is especially known for developing and leading innovative strategies to make health care reform a top issue in Wisconsin.  Robert is a leading strategist in the Wisconsin progressive movement, and is especially known for developing innovative approaches to strategic communication and issue campaign design and implementation. He earned his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his M.A. from the University of Georgia and his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
