- November 23, 2015
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
- 10341 Water Street Highway 42 Ephraim, WI 54211
Thanks to the Highway Clean-Up Crew. A section of Hwy 42 north of Ellison Bay is now clear of trash (five bags full, in fact!)
Thanks to the Good Neighbor Crews. Two of our members now have yards spruced up and ready for winter.
Thanks to ALL who signed the Paris Pledge. At last count we have over 60 pledges from our members, friends and visitors.
Thanks to the Ephraim Moravian Church for hosting a Poverty Symposium and including UUFDC. Three SRC members attended. Poverty is a serious issue in Door County and more information will be forthcoming as we join with other faith communities to address this issue. If this is of interest to you, contact Cindy Nelson or join us at our next meeting.
November holds more opportunities to be involved. From mid-November until mid-December LED bulbs will be for sale. You can also bring in your fluorescent or CFL bulbs for recycling. If interested in helping with this project, contact Meg Vermillion. The mitten/scarf/hat tree will soon be in need of “ornaments”. Are you a knitter? Crochet-er? Weaver? Buyer? Cynthia Oliver is in charge of this project that warms the hands, heads and hearts of young people in our Hispanic Community. Contact Cynthia with questions, or bring your donations to the big bin in the foyer.
We welcome everyone at our meeting – Monday, November 23, at 4 pm at UUFDC.
