About the Message:

If you mapped out a time line of our planet’s history of a hundred yards, the length of a football field, humans arrived on the scene one-eighth of an inch from the end. It is easy to see how human beings could feel insignificant and unimportant looking at our history in broad terms. We are a fearful and insecure species and in order to find hope we must weave our way through the minefield of truth and myth.

Phil Sweet is a long-time friend of UUFDC, and a marvelous and insightful storyteller. He served as minister of Hope Church in Sturgeon Bay and two rural churches in western Minnesota.
