There are many in our world who experience Exile- displaced from their homes against their will. Although we may not experience locational exile, there are situations which are imposed upon us and from which we hope to escape. But what do we do when we cannot escape? What do we do when we realize that the best life is in the past and our current/future reality will not change? Pastor Dawn will be exploring this challenging topic with the assistance of the ancient stories of people in Exile, hoping against hope for a miracle that never came. Their story will provide us with the grit we will need in order to Navigate Exile.

Pastor Dawn was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. She graduated college in the 1970’s, when career options for women were limited. She embarked on a traditional female career in Elementary Education. After a few years, she became restless and wondered where life would take her. That holy restlessness took her to Seminary and pastoral work at a time when women were a rarity in the pulpit. Her adventures in ministry began in the Bronx, New York, continued in the Washington DC suburb of New Carrollton, Maryland, and now, for the last 12 years, in the paradise known as Ephraim. Her husband Bob works remotely as an Integrated Logistics Support Analyst for Fincantieri Marinette Marine, serves on the Ephraim and Gibraltar fire departments and as a first responder. Their son, Rob, is a CNC Apprentice in Illinois. Bob and Dawn are parents to a 4 legged son, Preston, who is featured in many of Dawn’s podcasts.
