This service about what is most important in life. How do we know we are loved? How do we love?

The Rev Ms Denise D Tracy was ordained in 1974. At that time she was the 8th woman to be ordained in her denomination.  She has had ministries on campus (Hartford, Ct 74-6), in the parish (Greater Lansing, Mi 76-84), Denominational Executive (Midwest Region, 84-92), Consultant (Alban Institute, 92-07), Interim (South Bend, Cincinnati, San Mateo 07-12).  She retired in 2014 and has developed a wide portfolio of professional volunteer responsibilities in her city of Elgin, Il.  She is a Chaplain with the Elgin Police Department, President of the Coalition of Elgin Religious Leaders, Member of the Alignment Collaborative for Education for U-46, Past Vice President of the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Elgin, member of the Clergy Coalition of Elgin and tutors two days a week in two middle schools. She was one of four people who helped Elgin become an International City of Peace and for this received the MLK Humanitarian Award from the City of Elgin.  She is a Unitarian Universalist minister who preaches nearly every Sunday and has a business as a wedding officiant-Revdenisetracy.com.  She has been involved in women’s issues for over 40 years and believes strongly that healthy interpersonal relationships involve communication, equality and compassion. She has been married to her husband, Bill Decker for 35 years and has three children and three grandchildren.
