With two weeks le in Barack Obama’s eighth year as president, Alan Kopischke will reflect on Obama’s legacy and revisit some of the President’s most inspiring and influential speeches. From Obama’s stirring speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention, to his comments following the most recent election, Obama’s words give us all cause for hope.
Alan Kopischke is a university lecturer, arts and communication consultant and professional actor. He teaches acting at UW-Green Bay and developed and produced The Big Read Door County, which now continues as Door County Reads. He has acted with Peninsula Players, Third Avenue Playhouse, and regional theatres across the country and appeared in feature films and on primetime network television. He has worked with Peninsula Players, Door Community Auditorium and Birch Creek and consulted with dozens of arts organizations around Wisconsin. He is executive director of the Door Kinetic Arts Festival, returning in June to Björklunden. He has spoken at conferences and at UU churches around the country. A UU since 2002, Alan and his family moved to Door County and joined UUFDC in 2007.
