Awakening the Sage Within:
A Two-Day Workshop on Conscious Eldering offered by Sage-ing® International

Sage-ing® International is offering a workshop introducing the concepts of Sage-ing and conscious eldering. This program is intended to facilitate personal spiritual awakening as we move through our elder years and is not specific to any religious denomination. This is a 6 hour workshop that will be offered in two 3-hour sessions on November 7th & 8th 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County at 10341 N. Water Street/Highway 42 in Ephraim.

Door County has one of the most concentrated numbers of individuals over the age of 65 in the State of Wisconsin. This signifies the need to facilitate the growth of strong and wise elders. Today individuals can expect to live an additional 20-30 years past retirement. This gift of time requires one to actively choose how to live out these additional years. Sage-ing or Conscious Eldering offers a paradigm for living one’s elder years more consciously, joyfully and compassionately.

During this highly interactive workshop the six core concepts of Sage-ing will be introduced. These concepts include exploring one’s own images of aging, especially in our youth oriented culture, life review, forgiveness and relationship repair, facing one’s mortality, leaving a legacy and one’s own personal emerging elder.

This program is limited to 18 participants so early registration is encouraged. The cost is $45.00 for both afternoons. This fee includes light snacks and all program materials.
