Spending Time in the Chrysalis with Marie Luna

When a monarch caterpillar pupates into a chrysalis, its entire body breaks down during metamorphosis. Since leaving her position at the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Marie has been experiencing a similar feeling, and has learned a lot about “living in the goo”. Life transitions, planned or unplanned, can be painful and scary, especially when we don’t know what will happen on the other side. Marie has loved speaking to this congregation in the past, and is grateful to have the opportunity to talk about a challenging topic with a warm and welcoming group of people.

Marie Luna served as the Director of Congregational Life at the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Appleton for 17 years before leaving the position last year. She helped found the Unitarian Universalist Association of Membership Professionals group, which supports people passionate about meaningful membership and engagement in our congregations.
