Promoting The Human Rights Of Undocumented Migrants

Michele LeVoyPICUM (Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants) promotes respect for the basic social rights of undocumented migrants, such as the right to health care, the right to shelter, the right to education and training, the right to minimum subsistence, the right to family life, the right to moral and physical integrity, the right to legal aid, and the right to fair labor conditions.

Michele LeVoy became director of PICUM in 2006. She was previously coordinator of an international Master Degree program in human ecology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Michele has worked with resettled refugees in Chicago and with migrants in Brazil. She holds a Bachelors degree in French and Justice and Peace Studies from the University of St. Thomas and a Master in Applied Sciences (Housing and Development Program) for the Université Catholique de Louvain.
